Members of The Basin Theatre Group participate in many aspects of the theatre. Not only is there the opportunity to work on-stage, we always need backstage crew, lighting and sound operators and set builders. These are only a few of the possibilities open to members. There are many other jobs which all together help to maintain The Basin Theatre Group, our on-stage success and the fabric of our theatre building. Members are expected to ‘join in’ – to support those taking part in a production by acting as “Front of House’ staff at least once during a season and to contribute to working bees and attend social functions.

We also run weekend training courses and workshops from time to time, providing some training in both acting and directing.

The Basin Theatre encourages regular patrons to take out a “subscriber membership”. A subscriber membership is absolutely free. As a subscriber, once we receive your mailing details either by post or email, we will be able to forward to you in advance the forthcoming productions for the coming year, including performance dates and preferential booking arrangements.

The group presents four seasons each year, each of four weeks duration. Performances are generally Thursday to Sunday commencing at 8.15pm, with the 2nd Sunday performance being a matinee at 2.15pm, and the 4th Sunday a twilight performance at 4.15pm.

Subscribers are also able to book a “season ticket” for all four productions at the beginning of the year. This service enables subscribers to be assured of their preferred dates for each season.

Patrons are asked to make payment for the seats booked within seven days and seat numbers are allocated on receipt of payment.

Additional preferential booking arrangements are available for those subscribers that have special seating requirements due to a disability or impairment. We do our best to provide seating arrangements to meet these needs.
